Sports and Remedial Therapy

Remedial massage therapy simply means using manual therapy techniques to try to “remedy” a problem. But to offer a remedy, there needs to be an understanding of how the problem arose, how to avoid the problem in the future, and how to relieve the pain. To achieve this, massage and advanced soft tissue techniques are used, set within a framework of assessment and rehabilitation procedures.

Sports massage is included as a specialist area within Remedial massage therapy which applies all the same techniques and principles in a way that best meet the specific needs of the athlete.

The InterX 5000

The InterX 5000 is the first product from NRG to use a new generation of stimulation technology called interactive neurostimulation. The InterX 5000 was first produced in 2004 and has been effective in managing pain associated with soft tissue dysfunction and is a proven appropriate for the treatment of both acute and chronic conditions. The InterX 5000 is applicable in a wide variety of clinical situations from acute injury to postoperative recovery, and the treatment of chronic pain. InterX 5000 has also played a powerful role in sports injury management and rehabilitation. The hand-held, battery-operated device has been used to treat injuries on the field and on the sidelines, in the tour bus and in clinics and training rooms. Used by practitioners and sports injury specialists worldwide, the InterX 5000 delivers effective and significant results in acute and chronic pain relief, injury management and rehabilitation.
